She graduated as a biologist and currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy, Faculty of Medicine, University of Pécs. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in 2014 from the Doctoral School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Pécs, the title of her dissertation was ‘Investigation of pain pathomechanisms using preclinical animal models’ and has been working in the field of pharmacology and pain research for more than 15 years. She started her scientific career as a research and development engineer at Richter Gedeon Pharmaceutical Company, then continued as a research associate professor at the University of Pécs.

Her scientific achievements are outstanding, with more than 30 publications in internationally high quality papers, her cumulative impact factor is 138.53, with the total 1100 citations and an h-index of 20. She has been a major contributor to the supervision of 4 PhD and 15 research fellow students. She is the winner of national and international research grants, including the 2024 OTKA grant of the Hungarian Government. Besides her research work, since 2021, she has been a member of Animal Welfare Committee at the Pécs University. Additionally, since 2023, she has been the animal welfare officer at Pharminvivo Ltd. She is an active member of several scientific societies, including the Hungarian Pain Society, the Hungarian Society of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology, Hungarian Animal Welfare Society and the Hungarian Neuroscience Society. Her work has been recognised on several occasions, including the Outstanding Author Award of the University of Pécs and the Hungarian Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology Society’s Youth Competition, where she was awarded first prize. She was the member of several scientific organising committees in the organisation and delivery of several international conferences.  Her scientific interests focus on neuroinflammatory mechanisms and their relation to pain, with special emphasis on the chronic primary pain conditions such as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and stress-induced pain.
